We will be allocating our raise at the November Union meeting. The meeting is November 21st @ 8:00pm.
The retiree’s luncheon will be held on October 16th @ 1:00pm. It will be at Landing Casa Del Rio @ 401 Front St. , New Richmond, OH 45157
I would like to thank some of our retired members. These guys spent their morning handing out donuts, juice, fruit, and coffee at the VA in Cincinnati. The Cincinnati Building Trades helps out once a month at the VA. Every month a different trade will volunteer to help and the Boilermakers donated their time this month. This group of men have been doing this for many years and are great representatives of Local 105.

The weld shop will be open to anyone Monday, August 18th, through Friday, August 22nd, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. If you know anyone that would be interested in practicing their welding, and may be interested in the apprenticeship program, please let them know.
The weld shop will be open this week Monday, July 28th through Friday August 1st, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Common Arc will be Tuesday, August 5th and Wednesday, August 6th. If you would like to schedule a test time, please call the weld shop at 740-289-2523.
The golf committee is pleased to announce that we were able to donate $10,000 to SOMC Hospice this year. Our 2025 golf outing took place on May 24th with 25 teams showing up to play. We would like to thank all those who donated, helped, or played this year.
The Cincinnati AFL-CIO is hosting a Family Picnic Basket Celebration at Stricker’s Grove on Saturday, August 30th. All union members are encouraged to come out from Noon – 6:00pm. There is a registration form, and it is recommended that you fill it out if you plan on attending. It is not required that you fill it out but would be very helpful to determine how many people to expect. See the links below for more information and registration form.
Local 105 would like to congratulate Cooper Flinner, son of Doug Flinner and Ellie Brooke Thomas, daughter of Jason Thomas for receiving scholarships from both the International and Local 105.
Local 105 will be holding RSO training at the Union Hall on June 25th and 26th @ 9:00am. If you are interested in taking this class please contact the Union Hall as there are a limited number of spots available.
The weld shop will now be available to any apprentice that has completed their first year classes. Before apprentices could only practice welding if they had a journeyman with them. This is not always an option for some apprentices. You will only be allowed to come to the weld shop during office business hours. Please call and let us know in advance if you plan on coming up to practice.
